A prayer when you’re feeling discouraged
“Dear God,
Thank You for being with me in the good times and the bad. Thank You for never giving up on me, even when I feel like giving up on myself.
I know that You are always with me and that You will never leave me. Help me to remember that as I’m feeling down today.
Lord, I’m feeling so discouraged. Every day seems like such a struggle. I know Your love for me is never-ending, but sometimes I just can’t help but feel alone amid my setbacks and challenges. Please give me the strength to get through this, and help me to remember that You are always by my side.
I know that discouragement is not from You, Lord. Your Word tells me that You are “the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles” (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). So even though I may be feeling discouraged, I know that ultimately, You will use this for good (Romans 8:28).
Give me the strength to keep going, even when things are tough.
Help me to find joy in the little things and to be grateful for all that I have. Remind me of Your love when I am feeling lost and help me to spread Your love to others.
I will not be discouraged by what I see around me. I know that You are in control and that Your plan is perfect. Even when things seem hopeless, I will trust in You and Your promises. Please give me the courage to face each day with a smile, knowing that You are by my side.
Psalm 37:23-24 says, “The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.” Today, I pray that I will feel Your hand holding me close as I walk through my circumstances. And even if I may stumble, I know You will never let me fall. I am secure in Your love – and I will persevere through this trial as I grow in faith! (James 1:12)
Thank You, Father, for hearing my humble prayer in Your lovingkindness. I am so grateful for all You have blessed me with.
