Doing life with God is always fulfilling. However, the walk itself isn’t always easy! Thus, amid valley moments, we may start to feel disheartened, losing sight of just how much our Father truly cares for us. In light of this, I wish to share 5 inspiring Bible verses about God’s love for you! I hope they’ll help you lean further into His word as you seek to keep your faith strong in all seasons.
5 Bible verses about God’s love for you
1. Psalm 139:13-14 (God loves you for He created you!)
For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
Before your first conscious thought, before even your first breath on Earth, God already loved you! He is the one who created you as you are. Your very life is a miracle of His making!
This is among the most encouraging Bible verses about God’s love for you. You can trust that our heavenly Father knows and cares about every detail of your unique identity and life. He’s been with you from the start – and will be with you always.
2. Galatians 2:20 (Jesus loves you more than you can ever imagine!)
“The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
God loves us so much that He sent His only begotten Son to die for our sins on the cross (John 3:16).
Jesus’ atonement for us is a humble reminder that we are saved only because of his unfailing love for everyone. We did nothing on our parts to deserve this gift of salvation. Yet, by Christ’s love, we are all reconciled with our Father as the Holy Spirit dwells in us.
In short, Galatians 2:20 is among many great Bible verses about God’s love for you. Keep it close to your heart at all times!
3. Romans 5:8 (a popular Bible verse about God’s love)
“but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
We are all sinners, both believers and pre-believers alike.
Yet, even amid our broken state, even as some of us stood as enemies against God, Jesus was willing to lay down his life for us. Not just for the sake of those who already abide in him – but also to offer a chance of salvation for those who do not yet believe.
In short, Christ died for us so that you and I may experience God’s love and receive the Holy Spirit. Now, that’s true love, given in grace and compassion! This verse helps us never forget.
4. 1 John 4:16 (a simple yet profound Bible verse about God’s love for you)
“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.”
God doesn’t just love us – He IS love at its purest!
By the gift of the Holy Spirit, God resides in everyone who abides in Christ. In short, He is as close to you as it gets!
And by His infinite love for you, you too can begin to live your life of love; a deep love for God, and for others around you, as is His will.
Trust that God’s love for you changes your heart every day. This is a spiritual reality you can depend on as you walk by faith in Christ, no matter the type of season you’re in.
5. 1 John 3:1 (The greatest blessing of all.)
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!”
This is also one of my favorite Bible verses about God’s love for you and all of us!
Let us never take for granted the blessing of being a child of God, loved by the Creator of all. To be seen, cared for, and lavished by our Father in heaven is an honor we have done nothing to deserve. Yet, this is how boundlessly wonderful and gracious He is!
Thus, for all our days, may we always humble our hearts and give thanks for God’s love for us. He is more than worthy of our praise!
